I recently bought Office Home and Student. The disc that I got in my mail didn't work, so I went online and downloaded Office using the product key that was sent along with the disc. It got installed, but when I first opened any Office App, either a Word or Excel, the start up screen comes and I get a small pop up at the bottom of the screen saying "Microsoft Office is downloading the required features".
Then when it opens I get the pop-up to activate the product, but even before I could click on Accept button, I get another pop up window saying "Microsoft Word has stopped working". This happens to all the Office Apps installed. I'm running it on Windows 7 OS.
Please let me know what configuration I need to change? I have already tried uninstalling and installing it several times to the same result.
